Dear Fly Crew

I am writing in response to one of your parties in which I was working behind the bar. As the bartender of a club with very diverse nights, I am consequently witness to a diverse number of crowds. And in my experience, I can only conclude that your crowd is, quite simply, wonderful. Never have I come across such a happy, friendly, and dare I say ecstatic group of punters.

Only too often I have customers who cannot even manage a smile, please or thank you to their tired and ragged bartender. However, the fly crowds were simply delightful in their manners and respect. They were neither so wasted that they broke or spilled glasses, nor disposed to complain about anything. On two separate occasions I had lovely young women telling me, “I’m sure you must be told this all the time, but you are so beautiful.” What a thing to hear having worked the last 6 hours without a break! Of course, talk is nothing when there’s no sound of a clink on the tip plate. Once again, your crowd did not fail, and I managed to pocket my largest ever takings of tips.

Lastly, I am to congratulate you on the very high standard of your DJs and their mixing. Having previously disposed of myself as hater of house music (the only other occasion I have enjoyed the genre was a set by Kaskade, who I believe is a fly friend!), but was very much converted after witnessing Ilya’s set on my break. Well done to all your DJs.

I only had 30 minutes and I planned to dance like I had nothing to lose. He was cute and look over a few times, but I’m always too embarrassed to return it. So I snuck a few quick peeks after seeing in the corner of my eye he wasn’t looking. Perhaps I should have made a sign, but fuck I got hungry, so I stole away to a seat in the corner and stuffed my face with a cheeseburger. I could watch him from there without any danger of being noticed, even though I half wanted to be (although not while stuffing my face). Then it was time for me to get back and he and his friends decided to leave anyway… my stories really go nowhere.
