I’ve already discussed my penchant for watching this (I haven’t watched any of the other BB shows since the first series). Especially since I’ve started working a job that requires me to stay up very late, the nights where I’m not working I’m becoming accustomed to watching Mike Goldman fluff his way through a couple of hours of banality.

Last night Ryan (26) and Bree (21) were discussing their respective love lives. Two attractive young people, with personalities that certainly do not render them unattractive to most of the population, and yet their dating frequencies remained sporadic at best. Ryan hadn’t had a girlfriend for the last 2 years, and said he didn’t go up to girls he liked at clubs. Bree had been single for about the same and went on to say her first date was only a month ago (I’m assuming she’s referring to a first “real” date).

This makes me feel better. Not everybody out there is a fake loser just hooking up with whoever comes along. Some people feel they need to wait til it’s the right person, and yeah, it sucks that the right person doesn’t come along very often. But what choice do you have?
